In 1998, we planted the vineyard estate, cultivating the farming legacy of Del Rio Orchard and our own agricultural roots to create a landmark in the Rogue Valley wine landscape. Hard work and determination have driven us to new heights. Our amazing team, wonderful customers, and the support of family and friends sustains us and constantly rewards us. 2018 Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon – A rich, sophisticated Cabernet Sauvignon that makes you question if you are in Napa or Southern Oregon.
Tasting notes
Full bodied, rich in color and incredible structure this gem displays notes of clove, prune, and tapenade olive. The tannin composition will carry this wine beautifully through the aging process. Great finesse, precise elegance, and with age it will display blackberry, vanilla, and leather characteristics. We thoroughly hope you will enjoy this bottle now and over the next ten years.
Winemaking
100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is a Cab lover’s dream. Exceptional barrel aging was accomplished by using the highest quality, hand selected French oak, 36% in new oak, 22% in two year old barrels and 36% in three year old barrels. The winemaking team relished in giving this very special wine the royal treatment.
Vineyard
South facing, our Southern Oregon vineyard estate is located at the northern end of the Rogue Valley. With elevations ranging from 700 to 1800 feet, the primarily ancient volcanic and alluvial fan soils provide well drained, nutrient rich soils which are ideal for growing premium wine grapes.
