Rock Point
Rock Point River Red
River Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah & Malbec. This flavorful blend exhibits a wide range of aromas from smoky oak notes to more fruity characteristics such as plum and strawberry jam. The pleasant, silky mouth and approachable tannins come from a balance between oak aging and the fruit of the grape varieties.
The long summers of the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon, allow time to ripen both Bordeaux and Rhone varietals. Our River Red takes advantage of our unique climate with this rich, complex, accessible blend. Each wine undergoes a separate fermentation and the finished wines are then blended and aged together before being fined and bottled.
