Gold Hill, OR – [7/15/24] – Del Rio Vineyards, a leading name in Oregon's wine industry, is proud to announce its partnership with Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to building and donating specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. Together, they celebrated a momentous occasion on June 29, 2024, as they hosted a key ceremony for Sergeant (SGT) Christopher Chatwin, a brave service member and recipient of a new, fully accessible home in Bend, Oregon.
Del Rio Vineyards is honored to partner with Homes For Our Troops in this significant endeavor, which underscores the winery’s commitment to supporting those who have served our country with distinction. The partnership reflects Del Rio Vineyards’ dedication to community service and its belief in the power of coming together to make a positive impact.

Sergeant Chris Chatwin, who went on five combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, sustained a traumatic brain injury due to the extended exposure to burn pits during his service. The new home provided by HFOT is specially adapted to accommodate SGT Chatwin’s needs and enable him to live more comfortably and independently.
Homes For Our Troops has been dedicated to its mission since 2004, building homes for over 300 veterans across the country. The organization’s work is supported by numerous volunteers, donors, and corporate partners, all committed to ensuring that these heroes receive the support and recognition they deserve.
