Les Coteaux is French for "the hillsides" and aptly describes this Pinot Noir from the upper part of Del Rio Vineyards. This limited release, estate-grown Pinot Noir benefits from its higher elevation and southern exposure. The result is a richly colored wine with ripe fruit flavors, a concentrated mouthfeel, and impressive length.

Les Coteaux pairs wonderfully alongside dishes with herbal complexities that mirror its own tasting notes. Try roasted cranberry brown sugar pork chops or a roasted duck breast with sage. If seafood is more your fancy, try this Pinot Noir with a candied maple cedar plank salmon filet and stoneground mustard, or seared ahi tuna with a lentil pomegranate arugula salad.

Les Coteaux is French for "the hillsides" and aptly describes this limited release, estate-grown Pinot Noir from the upper part of Del Rio Vineyards. The result is a richly colored wine with ripe fruit flavors, a concentrated mouthfeel, and impressive length. On the palate, Les Coteaux delivers a beautifully structured experience. High acidity provides energy and lift, while fine tannins add a graceful texture, ensuring balance and longevity. The interplay of red fruit and herbal undertones makes this Pinot Noir an excellent pairing for food, yet it stands just as confidently on its own.

Our Southern Oregon Vineyard Estate is located at the northern end of the Rogue Valley. Situated at approximately 1,700 feet in elevation, the Pinot Noir grapes for Les Coteaux are sourced from blocks 27 and 28. Positioned on a mid-slope with a north-to-south orientation, the vineyard benefits from optimal sunlight exposure, well-drained soils and cooler evening temperatures.

After de-stemming, the Pinot Noir grapes are transferred into stainless steel vats for an initial cold soak. When the fermentation starts the wine undergoes methodical aeration at moderate temperatures in order to extract soft tannin and color. Finally when mouthfeel objectives are reached the grapes are gently pressed and barreled down in French oak. Aged for 10 months in 25% new oak.
