Our 2023 Estate Reserve Riesling is medium-sweet, displaying an expressive bouquet of citrus layered with lemon peel, grapefruit, ripe tangerine, peach, and apricot. The palate mirrors the nose, unfolding with bright citrus and luscious stone fruit complemented by hints of spiced ginger that evolve into honeyed and petrol notes, underscored by a subtle touch of forest floor. Our south-facing Estate Vineyard, located at the northern end of the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon, benefits from warm days, cool nights, and elevations ranging from 700 to 1,800 feet. The ancient volcanic and alluvial fan soils provide well-drained, nutrient-rich conditions ideal for growing premium Riesling. This unique site yields fruit with vibrant acidity, expressive aromatics, and a clear sense of place.
The grapes were direct-pressed, followed by a cool fermentation in neutral French oak barrels to preserve delicate aromatics. The wine was then aged on its lees to enhance texture and complexity, allowing the natural fruit expression and terroir character to shine through.
