Zinnia field

The 9th season of the U-Pick Zinnia Flower Farm has begun!

Family owned and operated Del Rio Vineyard Estate has officially opened its 9th season of their U-Pick Zinnia Flower Farm. Gracing the base of the 300-acre vineyard estate is a beautiful half-acre of Zinnias where guests are encouraged to pick bouquets of Zinnias to offer others as an act of kindness.

The Zinnia Farm was established by Del Rio Vineyards owner Jolee Wallace in 2016 and reflects her commitment to the community by encouraging guests to spread kindness through the simple act of gifting flowers. "What I love about what we created in the Zinnia Farm and our Jolee wines is the connection they make with people.” said Wallace.

This year, Del Rio Vineyard Estate expanded their wine club offerings to now include the Jolee Society. Focusing on the Jolee lineup (Rose, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Rouge), this wine club offers Jolee Society members three releases per year of six bottles of their choice of Jolee wines at a 25% discount off the retail bottle price. Enrollment for the Jolee Society is open and accepting new members.

“This wine club offering is long overdue for our Jolee fans,” said Wallace. “Our mission is to Cultivate Kindness and bring people together and unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly and most underrated agent of human change.”

For the best flower picking experience in our Zinnia Farm, guests are asked to follow the Flower-It-Forward guidelines:

  • The field is FREE and open to the public from dawn until dusk.
  • For your safety and the safety of others, guests are strongly encouraged to utilize Del Rio’s parking lot to access the field.
  • For every bouquet you pick for yourself, we ask that you pick one for someone in your life who could use a smile! Share the beauty and gift of flowers with someone in a care facility, a friend in need, or even a stranger.
  • Bring your own water and clippers.
  • Vases are available for those who do not have one. Vase donations are also happily accepted! Please bring vase donations to the Tasting Room during regular business hours (daily, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. for summer hours, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. beginning on September 9th for winter hours).
  • Flowers are not for resale or events.
  • Help us keep the field looking beautiful. Please don’t litter, and if you see a weed, help us out and pull it out.
  • Share your Flower-it-Forward adventures on social media by tagging @delriovineyards on Instagram or Facebook and using hashtags #floweritfoward and #culitvatekindness.
