2022 Pinot Noir

Enjoy with Pork Chops with a rosemary truffle sauce, or cedar plank Salmon. On the lighter side, Manchego and fig preserves, or roasted root vegetables with brown butter and hazelnuts would also welcome the company of this structured Pinot Noir.

Our 2022 Estate Pinot Noir is medium ruby in color with an expressive nose of strawberry, cherry, cassis, rose, and orange peel. An inviting entry with fruit-forward flavors that reflect the nose and are enhanced by subtle floral and baking spice notes. The wine is structured with integrated tannins and fresh acidity. 

South facing, our Southern Oregon Vineyard Estate is located at the northern end of the Rogue Valley. With elevations ranging from 700 to 1800 feet, the primarily ancient volcanic and alluvial fan soils provide well drained, nutrient rich soils which are ideal for growing premium wine grapes. 

After de-stemming, the Pinot Noir grapes (97% clone 777 and 3% Pommard clone) are transferred into stainless steel vats for an initial cold soak. When fermentation starts, the wine undergoes methodical aeration at moderate temperatures in order to extract soft tannin and color. When  mouthfeel objectives are reached, the grapes are gently pressed and barreled down in French oak. Aged for 9 months in 16% new French oak.
