In 1998, we planted the vineyard estate, cultivating the farming legacy of Del Rio Orchard and our own agricultural roots to create a landmark in the Rogue Valley wine landscape. Hard work and determination have driven us to new heights. Our amazing team, wonderful customers, and the support of family and friends sustains us and constantly rewards us. The 2015 growing season was a record breaking year. An early bud break, cool spring and extremely hot summer accelerated the whole growth cycle. The unique year delivered full-bodied red wines with rip and deep flavor profiles.
2016 began with an unusually warm spring leading us to bloom in mid-May, a week earlier than the average vintage. The warmth kept up through the season and by the end of August harvest had begun. This warm vintage benefit the late red varietal, include the Syrah. It contributed to rich, colorful wines with soft and supple tannins.
If the Rogue Valley declared vintages, 2017 would likely have been one. It was graceful, with a long summer leading to a beautiful fall. The grapes at harvest were characterized by balanced acidity and good sugar levels. Its red wines are aging beautifully with lush velvety tannins and fruit filled aromatics.
The 2017 Syrah offers a complex and layered nose, featuring a blend of aromas consisting of chocolate, coffee bean, and dark fruit such as black currant and blackberry.
Our vintage Ruby style Port is 100% Syrah fortified with brandy and aged for 30 months in neutral French oak barrels. This elegant wine displays a dark and rich crimson color, and when opened unveils aromas of cherry, pastries and sappy wood.
River White is a refreshing aromatic white wine with intense fruit aromas and flavors of peach and apple. The taste is crisp but not too acidic due to the light sweetness.
An appealing blend of Riesling and Muscat, the two juices are co-fermented at low temperature and in stainless steel to retain their crisp acidity and floral aromatics. After 5 months of aging the wine is fined, filtered and bottled.
